Well it was a first of sorts. An on-line writers'conference. I was curious as to how it would work out. Since I couldnot participate in live chats due to the time difference I was asigned to the Virtual Conference Hall.
I had already uploaded my workshop file for the participants to view and react.
Then I waited patiently for comments or reactions on the message board.
Well I found that nobody had taken time to react to my 'Writing as Meditation'. Then I put up my first lecture on the message board and there was some response.
Then as I replied some more responded to my subsequent lectures.
I guess since I hadn't anticipated too much interest I was satisfied.
Mainly the paticipants were keen to know how to build a website. Get their writing edited etc.

Writers Quest
It is difficult for a new writer to be read in a world of established authors. Once you have written a story you like to share it with others. People, who would read them, react to and enjoy them. Laugh or cry and in a way bond with the writer. The talent to narrate a story lies in all of us, we just have to reach and connect within for it to come surging out. When I discovered that, the thrill of creation was magical! As the words came pouring out, one wanted to reach out to a larger audience. Then began the painful hunt for publishers. There are so many of them but they all seem to be overloaded with aspiring writers inundating them with their work. It appeared that one would have to wait endlessly for that magical audience which laughed and cried with you. So I address this page to all the readers who would delight in reading and maybe in turn write some more wonderful tales so that the enchanting world of make-believe never ends.

Writing as Meditation
Meditation and Writing
Writing comes as a revelation, as a form of yoga or meditation, when the writer disappears in her writings and the only reality is the world she has created with her words. This leads to a profound experience of timelessness, when a single moment of inspiration becomes eternity. That is the whole art of meditation, the disappearance of the ego, the disappearance of the mind. Writing becomes a way to experience the unity of thought and its intrinsic spiritual nature.
Writing is therapeutic as well and is an effective way to overcome stress. Each experience however ugly, depressing or blissful becomes a reserve of emotions the writer draws on while creating her magical world of words. This helps in emotional healing. Writing is way to express the suppressed feelings. Life and writing get so intricately interwoven that life seems the tale of creation and the writer the carrier of the essence of life.
My seminar on writing as meditation will be available on
